BELGRADE - In a discussion with EU foreign policy and security chief Kaja Kallas in Belgrade on Wednesday evening, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Serbia remained a dependable partner to all those who were sincerely striving for cooperation, progress and a shared European future.

In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile, Vucic wrote that the meeting with Kallas had addressed key geopolitical topics, the security situation in the region, Serbia's EU path and the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

"I stressed that Serbia is committed to the EU-facilitated constructive dialogue as a way of resolving outstanding issues, and that protection of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija is our absolute priority. I noted that the establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities is not only an agreed commitment but also a precondition for further progress in the dialogue and for any normalisation of relations," Vucic added.

He added that they had discussed the process of Serbia's alignment with the EU foreign and security policy.

"I am confident that Serbia, as a state aspiring to EU membership, has the capacity to contribute to preservation of peace, stability and shared European values while preserving its vital national interests. Serbia remains a dependable partner to all those who are sincerely striving for cooperation, progress and a shared European future," Vucic wrote in the post.
