BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with EU foreign policy and security chief Kaja Kallas in Belgrade on Thursday to discuss Serbia's further path to the EU and the status of implementation of reforms.
Brnabic and Kallas discussed Serbia's progress in implementation of reform activities and challenges in preserving political dialogue, Brnabic's office said in a statement.
Brnabic noted that institutions had invested significant effort to keep the process inclusive, but that a lack of broader political consensus and active participation by all relevant actors had limited the dynamics of individual reforms.
She especially noted the significance of continued constructive dialogue with EU support, as well as the necessity of fulfilment of agreed commitments.
As a country that remains committed to EU integration, Serbia wants to be a dependable partner in preservation of peace, stability and shared values while respecting its own vital interests, Brnabic said.
