BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Milos Vucevic said on Monday an SNS electoral list had won 48 pct of votes in Sunday's local elections in Zajecar, eastern Serbia.
In an Instagram video, Vucevic said it was "a landslide victory in impossible conditions."
"I am very proud of our candidates and all the people who bore the brunt of the campaign, of you, Serbian citizens, who had the strength to oppose the blockader tyranny in the past several days and especially today, and to oppose an occupation of Zajecar," he added.
He said a "blockader list" had won 34.8 pct of votes and that the percentage won by the Socialist Party of Serbia was quite uncertain.
"According to one (source), they have 2.97 pct, and 3.03 pct according to another," Vucevic said.
He said the electoral results were "a great victory for Serbia against a colour revolution."
