Stano: Brussels meeting was not about signing EU proposal

BRUSSELS - EU spokesperson Peter Stano said on Thursday a Brussels meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Pristina's PM Albin Kurti on Monday had not been about signing an EU proposal.

"It was never about signature... This meeting on Monday was about discussing the EU proposal which was then agreed by both sides, (which agreed) that no further discussions are needed on this EU proposal, which is becoming an agreement on the path to normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia," Stano said at a press briefing in response to a question whether the EU proposal was final or could potentially be amended.

"What we stated also very clearly is that there was an understanding that further work will continue when it comes to discussing the implementation and making sure that there are concrete steps on the way towards normalisation," Stano said.
