Petkovic: Kurti wants to expel Serbs, his verbal attacks on Belgrade comical

BELGRADE - The director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Monday Pristina PM Albin Kurti's praise of the role of the US and his verbal attacks on Belgrade were comical as everyone knew Kurti himself had rejected the Washington Agreement, strongly disputing US President Donald Trump, and had been refusing to fulfil the Brussels Agreement for 12 years.

Petkovic wrote this on X, in a reaction to a statement by Kurti that Belgrade was violating a basic agreement.

Kuri also welcomed the US role following US President Donald Trump's statement that he would re-engage in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

"Kurti neither wants agreements nor dialogue - he wants to expel the Serbs! That is why urgent de-escalation and establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities is a precondition for any progress in the dialogue," Petkovic posted.
