ZURICH - The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has set up a crisis headquarters to evacuate Serbians from Israel and Iran, FM Marko Djuric said on Tuesday.
"We are the first country in our part of the world to have carried out a partial evacuation, and 12 of our citizens were evacuated from Israeli territory yesterday. We are working with other agencies and ministries, the entire government is working so that we can have the right information," Djuric - who is on a two-day visit to Switzerland - told reporters in Zurich.
He said around 80 Serbian citizens in Israel were currently registered for evacuation.
"We hope and expect the situation might head towards calming down, but whatever the outcome is, our citizens can contact their (Serbian) embassies," Djuric said.
