BELGRADE- Serbian Justice Minister Nenad Vujic met with German Ambassador to Belgrade Anke Konrad on Wednesday to discuss advancement of cooperation in the judiciary and rule of law.
The parties discussed possibilities for further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, especially in the context of Serbia's EU integration, a judicial reform and experience-sharing in the field of digitalisation of the judiciary, the MoJ said in a statement.
Konrad noted that Germany strongly supported Serbia's EU path, and stressed the significance of rule of law and legal certainty.
Vujic informed Konrad of current and planned MoJ activities as part of Chapter 23 in Serbia's EU accession talks, of which the ministry is the main coordinator.
He noted Serbia's commitment to continuing the reform process in line with a revised action plan for Chapter 23 and a 2020-2025 strategy for development of the judiciary, as well as with a reform agenda aligned with the EU's Growth Plan.
