MOSCOW - Serbian PM Djuro Macut says Serbia will not join the sanctions against Russia.
"As long as I am PM, the Serbian government will not join the sanctions against Russia," Macut told Russia's TASS news agency in an interview.
He also said Serbia maintained an interest in forging closer ties with BRICS and that developing relations with members of the organisation was a strategic priority for Serbia.
"We consistently advocate a need to deepen the cooperation with our traditional partners and friends. The BRICS states are the most important players on the global scene and developing strong, mutually beneficial relations with them is in our strategic interest," Macut noted, clarifying that, at the same time, Serbia continued on its path to EU membership.
