BELGRADE - Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said on Friday all bridges in Belgrade were passable and functioning normally and that around 1,300 people had been blocking 11 locations in the capital since the morning.
Dacic said police were on alert and that keeping all vital points in the city functional was the priority.
"The police have enough forces, enough patience and enough time to deal with that all day and all night long," Dacic noted.
He said the police had thwarted multiple attempts to block access to Branko's Bridge via the Terazije Tunnel and that a group of people had attempted to enter the NIS oil refinery in Pancevo but dispersed on their own after the police had arrived on the scene.
The police are working professionally and pursuant to the law, Dacic reiterated, thanking police officers who were on the ground day and night.
