BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric received a farewell visit from the head of the EU Mission to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret on Monday, and noted that Serbia was dedicated to peace, stability and cooperation.

"Minister Djuric expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Giaufret for his personal commitment and contribution to Serbia’s European path during his term, and wished him much success in his future professional endeavors," the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

"Reflecting on the current situation in the region and beyond, the Serbian Foreign Minister reaffirmed Serbia’s dedication to peace, stability, and cooperation. He emphasized that Serbia consistently opts for dialogue and remains committed to resolving all open issues through peaceful means, convinced that this is the only viable path to lasting solutions."

Djuric also briefed Giaufret on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and the position of the Serb population there, voicing concern over "a series of provocations and unilateral escalatory actions undertaken by the authorities in Pristina," the ministry also said.
