WASHINGTON - Serbia's ambassador to Washington Dragan Sutanovac has presented his credentials to US President Donald Trump at the White House.
They discussed Serbia-US relations.
Sutanovac, who thus officially assumed the ambassadorial duty, posted on Instagram that he had reminded Trump that no US president had visited Serbia since 1980.
"In a friendly and constructive atmosphere, we discussed Serbia-US relations. I reminded President Trump that no US president has visited Serbia since 1980, and invited him to be the first to change that," Sutanovac wrote in the post.
"The message of our discussion was clear: Make the Serbia-US strategic partnership great again!" Sutanovac concluded.
