BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic held a telephone call with Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema on Friday.
"A good and open discussion with President Hichilema about global and regional issues, bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as about his upcoming official visit to Serbia. We expressed readiness to advance trade, as well as to develop other forms of cooperation in the fields of defence, education and culture," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
He thanked Zambia for its principled position of not recognising the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called "Kosovo".
"EXPO 2027 was also a topic. I pointed out that Serbia appreciates Zambia's participation in that prestigious event, as well as that we will do everything to enable the guests to present themselves in the best possible way. We continue to build bridges of friendship between our two nations," Vucic concluded.
