Djuric calls on Hamas to immediately release all hostages

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric on Friday called on Hamas to immediately release all hostages and expressed sorrow over the fate of Alon Ohel, a Serbian citizen held in captivity by the Palestine militant group.

"Serbia's heart shatters for Alon Ohel, our beloved citizen, trapped in Hamas' grip for nearly 700 agonising days. Today, we received a heartbreaking sign of life, but his parents Idit and Kobi Ohel endure unimaginable pain, waiting for their son. Imagine the terror, the isolation, the endless nightmare for his family. Hamas, release Alon and EVERY hostage NOW! Humanity can't wait," Djuric posted on X.

A propaganda video released by Hamas earlier in the day shows Ohel and another hostage held by the group since October 7, 2023.
