Vucic: EPP important for SNS, I expect no change of status

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday he believed the future of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) was in the European People's Party (EPP) and that he expected no change in the SNS's status following a debate in the EPP.

Asked by reporters to comment on an announcement the EPP would debate the SNS's status, Vucic said the EPP was important for the SNS, its member party.

"The EPP is an important place for us, and Manfred Weber has announced that our status in the EPP will be debated. We are always ready for dialogue, for discussions and I believe that, with all the arguments to be presented, everything will be alright because, as an SNS member, I believe the SNS's future is in the EPP," Vucic said.
