Brnabic: It was pleasure to speak with Giaufret, he knows Serbia, its EU path

BRUSSELS - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with former EU ambassador to Belgrade Emanuele Giaufret in Brussels on Friday, and noted that it was always a pleasure to speak with Giaufret as he knew Serbia and its EU path well.

"Always a pleasure to speak with former EU ambassador to Serbia, Emanuele Giaufret, who knows our country and its European path well. Mr Giaufret currently holds the post of deputy director for Europe and Central Asia at the European External Action Service," Brnabic posted on Instagram.

Before the meeting with Giaufret, Brnabic spoke with representatives of EU member states, the European Commission and the EEAS.

"It was a great opportunity to openly discuss all issues regarding Serbia's EU integration. The central topic was Cluster 3 in our accession talks, which I hope will be opened by the end of this year, which would be of immeasurable importance for Serbia," Brnabic added.

She attended a panel hosted by the Serbian Mission to the EU and spoke about Serbia's EU integration.

Earlier in the day, she also met with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola to discuss further EU integration.
