Vucic receives Chinese ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received Chinese Ambassador to Belgrade Li Ming on Thursday to recap the most significant aspects of his recent visit to Beijing, which he said had opened up additional opportunities to deepen the comprehensive ties between Serbia and China.

"A cordial and important discussion with Ambassador Li Ming. We recapped the most important aspects of my recent visit to Beijing. I reiterated my special gratitude to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leadership for the exceptional hospitality they showed to Serbia on that occasion, too," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile.

He added that the main topic of the discussion had been the results of his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, with whom he discussed new investments, additional infrastructure and energy projects, application of leading-edge technologies in numerous industrial sectors, as well as continued cooperation and mutual support in the international arena.

"We also exchanged views on the priorities and concrete steps with the aim of creating conditions for quick implementation of joint projects, whose results will contribute to the well-being of our citizens and to strengthening of the strategic partnership with China. I reiterated a full commitment to continuing the intensive cooperation, especially as part of the upcoming state visit to China, which will once again confirm the steely, unbreakable friendship connecting our two countries," Vucic posted.
