BELGRADE - Serbian PM Djuro Macut met with German Ambassador to Belgrade Anke Konrad on Thursday to discuss strengthening the cooperation between the two countries.
Macut thanked Germany for supporting Serbia on its EU path, as well as for economic and business cooperation, where Germany is one of Serbia's most significant partners, an official statement said.
Macut noted that the cooperation with Germany was extremely important for Serbia and that Serbia was committed to advancing bilateral relations with the country in all areas.
He said he believed the German government would continue to support Western Balkan countries on their EU accession paths, as well as stabilisation in the region.
He added that Kosovo-Metohija was a top national issue for Serbia and that continued dialogue remained a way to resolve all outstanding issues.
Macut noted that, at the same time, the extremely difficult position of the Serb community in Kosovo-Metohija, as well as the fact that Pristina was still refusing to meet its commitments under the Brussels Agreement, must be taken into account.
