Brnabic: Good communication with EPP, SNS not on verge of exclusion

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Wednesday the Serbian Progressive Party had "very good conversation" with the European People's Party (EPP) and maintained permanent communication with its officials, and added that she would attend a meeting of EPP international secretaries in Barcelona on October 2-3.

Brnabic added that an SNS delegation would speak with the EPP leadership in Brussels on October 22.

"But the mere fact that I will be attending a meeting of EPP international secretaries tomorrow and that, as an SNS member, Minister Nemanja Starovic took part in an EPP delegation in Lebanon just a few days ago shows how fake the news the SNS is on the verge of being excluded from the EPP is," Brnabic told a press conference in the parliament building.

The SNS is participating in all EPP activities and, for Serbia, it is good to have the SNS in the EPP, she said.

"But those who insist on the SNS getting thrown out of the EPP want some other things for Serbia - unfortunately, never things that are particularly good for Serbia," Brnabic said.
