Vucic:Durres summit established EU path is strategic, I had disagreements with Osmani

DURRES - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday a plenary session of a Brdo-Brijuni Process summit in Durres had established that the EU path was strategic for the region, and added that there had been disagreements between him and the president of the provisional Pristina insitutions, Vjosa Osmani.

"There are no states here, only names, so that is something that is a good legacy of this process. I spoke about that type of hypocrisy, double standards, where, in fact, we are all trying to get something at the expense of someone else, while we do not have much of a joint approach to problem-solving in the Western Balkans," Vucic told reporters.

He said the summit participants had noted they would be working together on EU integration.

Vucic added that he had informed the attendees a high-speed rail line allowing trains to travel at speeds up to 180 kph - the fastest in the region - had been opened to traffic in Serbia.

"Since they have not been able to read about that in any media outlet in Albania, Pristina, Zagreb and Sarajevo, at least they got that information so they can be our dear guests and see what it is like to take a ride on high-speed trains and high-speed rail lines," Vucic noted.
