Djuric calls for urgent release of Alon Ohel and all other hostages in Gaza

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric called on Tuesday for an urgent release of Serbian-Israeli national Alon Ohel and all other hostages held in Gaza.

"Today marks two years since the horrendous terrorist attacks by Hamas and the profound suffering they inflicted on innocent victims, their families and the people of Israel.

Two years of terror, fear and uncertainty for the families and friends of hostages who were brutally abducted on that day and taken to the dark dungeons of Hamas, where they endured – and still endure – unimaginable pain and abuse, without seeing the light of day," Djuric posted on X.

"Among them is Alon Ohel, a Serbian-Israeli citizen, who was seriously wounded and whose health has been severely compromised for 732 days.

We call for his immediate release, as well as the release of all remaining hostages being held captive in Gaza.

We call for the implementation of the peace deal proposed by US President Donald Trump. We call for peace. Bring them home at last," he concluded.
