BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday Serbia was interested in acquiring the Croatian power company and offer 50 pct more than any other bidder, as well as in buying the JANAF oil pipeline, but that Croatia had never allowed Serbia to buy any of its companies.

At a press conference, Vucic said this in a comment on a statement by the Croatian minister of economy that Croatia was ready to acquire Serbia's Russian-majority owned oil company NIS.

"Croatia is interested in buying NIS - I thank them for that. I hereby officially inform them that we are interested in buying the Croatian electric power company HEP and JANAF, everything. But they did not allow us to buy (confectioner) Kras when we wanted to, they did not let us buy anything, while we have always been open to Croatian investments, and they were able to buy (edible oil producer) Dijamant and (confectioner) Soko Stark, and everything else they wished to buy," Vucic said in response to questions from reporters.

"Once our Russian partners and friends inform us whether they plan to sell (their stake in NIS) or not, we will inform them whether we accept such offers or not. But, in any case, offers from any side are welcome," Vucic said.
