BRUSSELS - The European Council will on Thursday call on Belgrade and Pristina to implement an agreement reached in Ohrid, North Macedonia, according to draft conclusions seen by Tanjug.

The document said the European Council welcomed the deal reached in the EU-facilitated Belgrade-Pristina dialogue on an implementation annex to an agreement on the path to normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations, and called on both parties to meet their commitments in an expedited manner and in good faith.

EU foreign policy and security chief Josep Borrell will inform the EU leaders of the dialogue at a March 23-24 summit, after which they will adopt the conclusions to encourage Belgrade and Pristina to embark on implementation of the agreement on normalisation.

No amendments to the draft conclusions are expected to be made at the summit.

Speaking to EU FMs on Monday, Borrell said the March 18 meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Pristina's PM Albin Kurti in Ohrid was a foundation of "normalisation of relations between Serbia and Kosovo."
