BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Thursday he hoped a solution for Serbia's Russian-majority owned oil company NIS would be found by two big powers very soon.
"We have already left a certain degree of flexibility in the budget so that we can react to the situation surrounding NIS. We are watching the situation. If the information is good and accurate, the Russian side is already negotiating and trying to find a solution together with the Americans. We are watching developments and we will support solutions that make sense for the Serbian citizens and the government," Mali told the RTS.
He said a solution implied preservation of energy stability and NIS itself and that work on this was underway "in a very careful manner".
