Brnabic meets with Zelenskyy

KYIV - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic, who is visiting Ukraine, met on Monday in Kyiv with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and thanked his country for its unwavering position on respect for Serbia's territorial integrity in Kosovo-Metohija.

"In the discussion, great gratitude was expressed to Serbia for the humanitarian aid it has provided (to Ukraine)," Brnabic told reporters after meetings with Zelenskyy, PM Yulia Svyrydenko and Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.

She said she had expressed great gratitude for Ukraine's full recognition of, and respect for, Serbia's territorial integrity and Kosovo-Metohija as an autonomous province that is an integral part of the Republic of Serbia.

"Regardless of all the pressure, they are not desisting from that position, which is something we appreciate, and that is why it is always my pleasure to go to countries that, I would say, have such an unwavering position on recognising the territorial integrity of our country. So, there are many things we need to work on in the future, and I believe we will continue, with that focus, as regards both European integration and everything else we have agreed so far," Brnabic said.
