Vucic to meet with Macron in Paris on Thursday evening

PARIS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will visit Paris on Thursday at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

The two presidents will speak during a working dinner hosted for Vucic by Macron, the press office of the president of Serbia announced in a statement.

Ahead of the trip to Paris, Vucic said the meeting with Macron would be extremely important and substantial and address all important geopolitical and regional issues, as well as bilateral cooperation and Serbia's EU path.

He said the visit would be a brief one but that he hoped that, after it, he would have news that there was hope of a calmer and safer winter season for Serbia.

Vucic also said he hoped a solution would be found for Serbia's Russian majority-owned oil company NIS and that, in the coming months, it would become clear what needed to be done about the issue.
