Dacic receives Interpol Special Class Medal

MARRAKESH - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic was on Wednesday awarded the Interpol Special Class Medal, the organisation's highest honour bestowed upon interior ministers for prominent roles in security cooperation and contribution to strengthening mechanisms of joint activities between Interpol and its member states in the fight against organised and transnational crime.

Dacic received the medal from Interpol President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi in Marrakesh.

The medal was also awarded for exceptional results in safeguarding regional and global security and stability and for affirming the values of partnership and solidarity between Serbia and Interpol, the Serbian Interior Ministry said in a statement.
