BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with the chairman of the Italian parliamentary committee on EU affairs Alessandro Giglio Vigna in Belgrade on Thursday, and thanked Italy for its continued and strong support for Serbia's EU path, as well as for its significant assistance to Serbia's efforts to open Cluster 3 in its EU accession talks.
She noted that bilateral relations with Italy were on a high level and that parliamentary cooperation was being developed actively, with more meetings held at all levels, an official statement said.
Italy is a country with which Serbia has a strategic partnership and was the first EU member state with which Serbia established strategic cooperation, Brnabic added.
She highlighted a high level of bilateral economic cooperation, noting that, for many years, Italy had been one of Serbia's most significant economic partners, and added that the cooperation would be continued in the same direction.
