Vucic: Serbia, UAE share sincere, lasting friendship

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended on Friday a UAE National Day reception at the country's embassy in Belgrade and noted that Serbia and the UAE shared a sincere and lasting friendship based on mutual trust, respect and a vision of a successful and prosperous future for the two nations.

"I extended my most heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of UAE National Day celebrations to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and the people of the UAE," Vucic posted on Instagram.

He noted that he was grateful to bin Zayed for his personal friendship and commitment to strengthening of relations, which he added were exceptionally important to Serbia.

"Serbia will continue to build the partnership with the UAE, confident that our ties represent a bridge of stability and development," Vucic concluded.

The reception was also attended by Serbian PM Djuro Macut, government ministers and MPs.
