BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received the credentials of new Lebanese Ambassador to Belgrade Youssef Jabr on Monday.
In an Instagram post, Vucic wrote that he had informed the ambassador in more detail of the situation in the region, highlighting the gratitude to Lebanon for its respect for the territorial integrity of Serbia.
Welcoming the ambassador, Vucic wished him success and that they may work together on a new momentum in advancement of bilateral cooperation, especially in view of the fact Serbia and Lebanon would next year mark the 80th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
Vucic also noted that participation of Serbian Armed Forces troops in the UNIFIL mission was another pillar of mutual trust, as well as of a consistent position of both countries that there was no alternative to sustainable peace.
"I was proud to inform Ambassador Jabr of Serbia's progress in all areas and expressed readiness that we work together on projects of mutual interest, to the benefit of our citizens," Vucic also posted.
