BELGRADE - Serbian PM Djuro Macut met on Thursday in Belgrade with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, who is on an official visit to Serbia.
"Welcoming the President of Georgia, Macut emphasised that this visit is an excellent opportunity to discuss numerous opportunities for deepening the cooperation between the two countries," a government statement said.
"We greatly appreciate our friends from Georgia and the support they provide us," Macut was quoted as saying.
"There are indeed many topics for discussion and for deepening cooperation, and I hope that President Kavelashvili’s visit to Serbia will contribute to strengthening ties and working in the interests of our citizens," he also said.
Earlier in the day, Kavelashvili also met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
