Vucic: I believe in even better relations and stronger cooperation between Serbia, Georgia

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his wife Tamara hosted a dinner on Thursday evening for Georgian President Mikheil Kavalashvili, who is on an official visit to Serbia.

Vucic noted that he believed in even better relations and stronger cooperation between Serbia and Georgia in the future.

Serbia and Georgia understand each other well because they are connected by shared values and similar challenges, he said.

"I hope that, during his stay in Serbia, he (Kavelashvili) will experience for himself the traditional Serbian hospitality and the Serbs' special sympathy with and respect for the people of Georgia," Vucic posted on Instagram.

He added that he was honoured to host a dear friend.

"This evening is an opportunity to also raise topics that go beyond politics, from good Serbian and Georgian wines to our shared passion for football (mine being more at amateur level compared to his)," Vucic added.
