BELGRADE - Serbian PM Djuro Macut met with Slovak President Peter Pellegrini on Sunday to discuss advancement of bilateral relations and strengthening of cooperation in numerous areas.
"During the meeting, Prime Minister Macut and the President of Slovakia agreed that the traditionally friendly and partner-based relations between the two countries are founded on mutual respect, and that there remains significant scope for further deepening cooperation, particularly in the fields of culture, energy, infrastructure and education.
The Prime Minister thanked Slovakia for its consistent support for Serbia’s European integration, as well as for being the first country with which an agreement was signed on participation in Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade," Macut's office said in a statement.
"Pellegrini said that his country provides full support for reform processes in Serbia and that its experts from various fields are at Belgrade’s disposal.
He expressed gratitude to Serbia for its recognition and respect of the rights enjoyed by the Slovak minority in the country, stressing that this is a reflection of sincere friendship and mutual respect," it also said.
