Vucic: Czechia has confirmed its participation in EXPO 2027 Belgrade

DAVOS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday Czechia had confirmed its participation in the specialised EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, and noted that this would further solidify the cooperation between the two countries.

In an Instagram post after a meeting with Czech PM Andrej Babis in Davos, Vucic wrote that they had discussed current European and global topics, as well as steps towards strengthening Serbia-Czechia bilateral relations through concrete economic cooperation.

He noted that the discussions had focused on trade and new investment and strengthening of cooperation in areas of mutual interest, as well as on connecting companies and institutions.

"I was especially glad about a confirmation of Czechia's participation in EXPO 2027, whereby we will solidify the cooperation further and together open a new chapter of the miraculous future that is ahead of us," Vucic noted.

He added that they had also touched upon the significance of stability and dialogue in the region, and noted that this was a precondition for any long-term development policy.

"In these uneasy times for Europe and the whole world, it is important that partner countries work pragmatically and responsibly," Vucic also posted.

Vucic meets with Switzerland's Parmelin in Davos

DAVOS, - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Swiss President Guy Parmelin in Davos on Wednesday to discuss strengthening of economic and overall bilateral cooperation, as well as the key challenges shaping Europe today, and noted that partnerships producing measurable results, more investment, more innovation and more quality jobs needed to be built. "

A good discussion with Guy Parmelin about strengthening economic and overall cooperation between Serbia and Switzerland while relying on the results we have already achieved, as well as on great interest among Swiss companies in a stable and predictable business environment," Vucic posted on Instagram after the meeting.

He added that they had exchanged views on the key challenges shaping Europe today, agreeing that, in a time of growing risks, partnerships producing measurable results, more investment, more innovation and more quality jobs must be built.

Vucic noted that Switzerland, as the host of the World Economic Forum in Davos and a country of strong institutions, demonstrated the importance of stability, responsibility and dialogue in a time when the world was changing faster than ever before.

"That is why I pointed out that Serbia will continue to work on an environment where investments are protected and plans carried out by the deadlines. I am especially glad about an announcement that President Parmelin will visit our country soon," Vucic posted, adding that the visit would lend an additional impetus to bilateral relations and make further cooperation more concrete.
