BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko on Wednesday to discuss the energy sector and potential solutions for the Serbian oil company NIS.
In an Instagram post, Vucic wrote that they had also discussed the current situation in the international arena and matters important for Serbia-Russia relations.
"We devoted special attention to the energy sector and potential solutions regarding NIS. We will continue to work on ensuring stable energy supplies and sustainable arrangements protecting the interests of Serbia and the interests of our citizens, through dialogue and by taking into account existing agreements and the complex international situation," Vucic noted.
Serbia remains committed to open discussions, to safeguarding its state and national interests, as well as to preservation of stability, he concluded.
