BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met on Tuesday in Belgrade with Deputy Managing Director for Western Europe at the European External Action Service Emanuele Giaufret to discuss Serbia's EU integration.
Brnabic and Giaufret also discussed reform processes that were underway, as well as all other steps that were ahead of Serbia on the path to EU membership, and Brnabic noted that EU accession was Serbia's strategic goal, an official statement said.
Brnabic noted that a commission set up to revise the electoral roll had held its first constitutive session last week and had continued its work on Monday in a constructive atmosphere.
In view of the fact that Giaufret served as the EU ambassador to Serbia until last year, Brnabic said he had an excellent understanding of the situation in Serbia and added that she respected his work and support for Serbia.
The meeting was also attended by the incumbent EU Ambassador to Serbia Andreas von Beckerath.
