BELGRADE - Ahead of Serbian Statehood Day (February 15), Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received on Friday a congratulatory message from Russian President Vladimir Putin in which the Russian leader wished good health and success to Vucic and happiness and prosperity to the people of Serbia, the press office of the president of Serbia said in a statement.
"Please receive my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Serbia - Statehood Day. The relations between our countries are based on time-tested traditions of friendship and cultural and spiritual closeness. I am confident that, in spite of the uneasy international conditions, the Russian-Serbian strategic partnership and the mutually beneficial cooperation in various spheres will continue to strengthen progressively," Putin wrote in the message.
Many other world leaders and statespeople have also congratulated Vucic on Statehood Day.
