BELGRADE - Commenting on a "military and police parade in Pristina to mark 18 years since the unilateral and illegally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo," Serbian Progressive Party leader Milos Vucevic, who is also adviser to the president of Serbia on regional affairs, said on Wednesday the "parade circus" was another slap in the face of international law and a trampling of the UN Charter.

"The parade circus was organised by the sham president of a sham state," Vucevic posted on X.

"Unlike Kurti and his warmongers, Serbia remains committed to respect for UNSCR 1244, to protecting its people in Kosovo-Metohija and to preservation of peace and stability," Vucevic added.

Serbia's answer to all those who are "sabre-rattling" and making alliances aimed against it is that it will defend its people and its Fatherland, he noted.

"Serbia is not threatening anyone. We continue to pursue a policy of peace, to modernise and bolster our military capacities and our economy, and to strengthen our state in every sense so that it can confront all challenges and deter any attempt to attack its sovereignty and territorial integrity," Vucevic concluded.
