BELGRADE - State Secretary at the Serbian MFA Damjan Jovic and Angolan State Secretary for International Cooperation Domingos Lopes led political consultations between the Serbian and Angolan MFAs on Friday, confirming the friendly relations between the two countries and expressing readiness to advance bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Special emphasis was placed on strengthening the cooperation in the economy, agriculture and IT, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

Jovic said he believed that, through its participation in EXPO 2027 Belgrade, Angola would contribute to the success of the EXPO and a positive atmosphere at the event.

The parties highlighted the significance of further strengthening of cooperation within international organisations and multilateral forums, as well as the importance of mutual support on issues of national interest.

At the same time, Jovic thanked Angola for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
