Djuric, Tenney discuss topics related to Serbia, region

WASHINGTON - Serbian FM Marko Djuric met on Wednesday in Washington with US Congress member Claudia Tenney, co-chair of the Serbian Caucus in the US Congress, to discuss key topics related to Serbia and the region that are also of interest to Capitol Hill.

Djuric gave a comprehensive snapshot of the current state of Serbia-US relations, pointing out the dynamics of cooperation in various areas, from political dialogue to energy and other segments of mutual interest, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

The parties also exchanged views on broader global affairs and current international challenges.

Djuric especially thanked Tenney for her active engagement in the Serbian Caucus.

Djuric: Serbia ready to take partnership with US to next level

WASHINGTON - Serbian FM Marko Djuric met with US Deputy National Security Advisor Andrew Baker at the White House on Wednesday to discuss the future of Serbia-US relations.

"I reiterated Serbia’s readiness to take our partnership with the United States to the next level. Strong partnerships are built on trust, shared interests, and steady dialogue - and we see real potential to move forward together," Djuric posted on Instagram.

Djuric is on a working visit to Washington to discuss with US officials the most significant topics for Serbia, from regional security and the position of Serbs - including in Kosovo-Metohija - to economic issues and energy.

Djuric meets with US Congressman Mast in Washington

WASHINGTON - Serbian FM Marko Djuric, who is on a visit to Washington, met with US Congressman Brian Mast at an annual conference hosted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

"In the course of the AIPAC conference, I ran into Congressman Brian Mast, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, just two months after our previous meeting in Washington. Grateful to Congressman Mast for always being a receptive and open interlocutor on all topics that matter to Serbia," Djuric posted on Instagram.

The AIPAC is one of the most influential US-Israel forums dedicated to strengthening the cooperation between the US and Israel.

Speaking about the importance of the AIPAC conference, Djuric noted that participation in the event was a major opportunity to make Serbia’s voice heard at one of the most important political forums in Washington, as well as to present the priorities of Serbian foreign policy and the efforts the country was making when it comes to advancement of international cooperation, the Serbian MFA has said.
