Vucic: Kosovo-Metohija has been, is and will be Serbia

ASTANA - Kosovo-Metohija has been, is and will be Serbia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday evening, noting that he had no intention whatsoever of accepting any recognition of the so-called Kosovo.

Responding to questions from reporters in Astana, Vucic was commenting on allegations by former diplomat Nebojsa Vujovic that Serbian FM Marko Djuric had visited Washington for a meeting with US State Secretary Marco Rubio about documents on a recognition of the so-called Kosovo by Belgrade.

Vucic said Djuric's encounter with Rubio had been completely accidental and that there had been no plans for a meeting.

"He had excellent discussions there. I have no intention whatsoever of accepting any recognition of Kosovo. I am not Nebojsa Vujovic, who would sell any part of Serbian territory for the last bottle in a single day," Vucic said.

"Kosovo has been, is and will be Serbia - end of conversation," he added.

Vucic said Djuric had had good discussions in Washington and participated in an AIPAC conference.

"It is important that we maintain good relations with the Jews, as well as with Israel. We are acquiring many things from them, many important things, and we will continue to do so," Vucic said.
