Vucic, bin Zayed discuss consequences of Middle East conflict for peace and stability

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke by phone with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Wednesday about the situation in the Middle East, the consequences of the ongoing conflict for peace and stability in the wider region, the impact of current developments on global stability, as well as a need to maintain channels for dialogue in a time of major challenges.

"In a truly friendly and open discussion with Mohamed bin Zayed about the situation in the Middle East and the consequences of the conflict for peace and stability in the wider region, the danger of further escalation, as well as the need to maintain channels for dialogue and political understanding in a time of major challenges," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.

Vucic added that they had also touched upon the wider international situation and the impact of current developments on global stability, energy security and economic predictability, which he noted were topics that were immediately significant to Serbia as well.

"I took this opportunity to extend my heartfelt birthday wishes to Sheikh Mohamed and wish him good health, personal happiness and strength in these challenging times," Vucic also posted.
