Serbia, Algeria sign five bilateral documents

ALGIERS - A Serbian delegation visiting Algeria, headed by PM Djuro Macut, signed five bilateral documents with the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Algiers on Tuesday.

The documents regulate the fields of tax law, agriculture, culture, tourism and telecommunications.

"Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, signed today with Prime Minister of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Sifi Ghrieb a number of bilateral documents, including an intergovernmental agreement on the elimination of double taxation with respect to income and property taxes and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance," the Serbian government said in a statement.

"Macut and Ghrieb also signed a Programme of cooperation in the field of culture between the Serbian Ministry of Culture and the Algerian Ministry of Culture and Arts for the period 2026-2028, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the Serbian Ministry of Information and Telecommunications and the Algerian Ministry of Post and Telecommunications in the field of post and telecommunications.

They also signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of tourism between the Government of Serbia and the Government of Algeria, as well as a Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Serbia and the Government of Algeria in the field of plant protection and plan quarantine," it also said.
