Vucevic: Fight for Kosovo-Metohija is our oath

BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Milos Vucevic said on Tuesday the fight for Kosovo-Metohija is the Serbs' oath and noted that "we cannot give up on ourselves for the sake of better life."

Asked whether there was something Serbia could do to ensure a release of Serbs convicted in the Banjska case, Vucevic said it was irresponsible to shrink long historical processes to daily developments.

"The fight for Kosovo-Metohija is our oath - sometimes we waited for centuries, sometimes for years," Vucevic said in an appearance on K1 TV.

Commenting on Pristina's prison sentences for three Serbs convicted in the Banjska case, Vucevic said Albin Kurti's intention was to expel Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija by punishing the bravest among them.

It cannot be forgotten who trampled the Serbian flag underfoot in Leposavic, and neither can the fact that Serbs were killed at Banjska, he said.

"The authorities need to know who did that. Justice may be slow, but I believe it is attainable. We cannot give up on ourselves for the sake of better life," Vucevic noted.
