WASHINGTON - On the first day of a working visit to Washington, Serbian Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starovic met with Congress members Claudia Tenney and Emanuel Cleaver, who are also co-chairs of a Serbian caucus in the US Congress.
"Starovic informed the US Congress members about the progress of Serbian-American relations and the prospects for initiating a strategic dialogue between the two countries, with Congress members Tenney and Cleaver strongly supporting this initiative," a government statement said.
"The Minister also visited the Quincy Institute, where he exchanged views with the leadership of this reputable think tank on the current state of transatlantic relations, with a special emphasis on the role and importance of Serbia in the current political and security architecture of Europe.
Starović also attended the Transatlantic Bridge Awards ceremony at the residence of the European Union Ambassador in Washington.
The Minister will continue his working visit to Washington with a series of meetings in the US Congress and the State Department, as well as meetings with representatives of prominent American think tanks," it also said.
