Serbia, China sign 23 bilateral agreements in Beijing

BEIJING - At a ceremony in Beijing, attended by the presidents of Serbia and China, Aleksandar Vucic and Xi Jinping, the two countries signed 23 bilateral agreements in areas including the economy, education, technological development and innovation.
During Vucic's visit to China, the two sides will release a joint declaration on continued building of a Serbian-Chinese community with a shared future in a new era, as well as a declaration on joint advancement of implementation of four global initiatives, it was announced at the ceremony.
Serbia and China signed an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and a MoU on joint promotion of cooperation in the framework of the Global Security Initiative.
They also signed a medium-term action plan on cooperation as part of the Belt and Road Initiative for the period between 2026 and 2028.
Also signed was a MoU on advancement of cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, a programme of cooperation in education in the period between 2026 and 2030, a MoU on bolstering cooperation in vocational and dual education and life-long learning, a MoU on cooperation in environmental protection and a MoU on strategic cooperation in technological development and innovation.
The two sides also signed a MoU on boosting investment cooperation in the digital economy, a MoU on strengthening economic cooperation in industry and supply chains, as well as a MoU on cooperation in tourism.
Also, the governments of Serbia and China signed an agreement on development cooperation, and the Serbian Ministry of European Integration and China's International Development Cooperation Agency signed a MoU on joint implementation of a cooperation plan in human resources development for 2026.
The signed documents also include a MoU between the Serbian Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation and the China Atomic Energy Authority on peaceful use of nuclear power and nuclear technology.
