Vucic, bin Zayed discuss situation in Middle East, Serbia-UAE relations

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke by phone with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan on Sunday about current geopolitical challenges, the situation in the Middle East, as well as further advancement of the exceptional Serbia-UAE bilateral relations.

"I reiterated that Serbia highly appreciates the sincere friendship we have been building with Sheikh bin Zayed and the UAE for years, based on trust, respect and a shared vision of development and a prosperous future for our citizens. I noted our full support for our friends in the UAE, with a desire that peace, stability and security be preserved in these complex times," Vucic posted on Instagram.

He added that they had exchanged views on the most important international political issues and confirmed a commitment to continuing the close cooperation to the mutual benefit of the two countries and the two nations.

"It was my special pleasure to invite Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to visit Serbia, in the confidence that his visit will further strengthen our strategic partnership, solidify the friendly ties and open up space for new joint projects of importance for the future of our states," Vucic concluded.
