Vucic: Serbia will not introduce visa regime for Russia

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday evening Serbia would not introduce a visa regime for the Russian Federation, noting that the move had not even been considered.

In an appearance on a Happy TV talk show, Vucic said he did not know where reports about a visa regime for Russia had come from.

"I also called (Parliament Speaker) Ana Brnabic to see if the parliament has adopted something, but there is nothing like that. I am afraid there are many people who expect to get support from the Russian Federation before elections in any way and then go and try to speak all the worst about Serbia. It would not be the first time," Vucic said.

He said the move was out of the question and had not even been considered.

"No such decision will be made, and even if someone were to make it, it will be scrapped immediately, suspended immediately," he noted.
