Starovic, Austria's Bauer discuss Serbia's EU integration process, reform agenda

VIENNA - Serbian Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starovic met on Tuesday in Vienna with Austrian Minister for Europe, Integration and Family Claudia Bauer to discuss Serbia’s progress in the EU integration process, implementation of a reform agenda and current affairs in the EU accession process.

"Starovic emphasised that Serbia remains firmly committed to implementing reforms and fulfilling its obligations on the path towards membership of the European Union, expressing the expectation that conditions will be created in the coming period for the opening of Cluster 3," the Serbian government said in a statement.

"The meeting also addressed the organisation of Specialised EXPO 2027 Belgrade, which represents an important opportunity to strengthen international cooperation and showcase Serbia’s development potential.

The interlocutors reaffirmed the importance of continuing close cooperation between Serbia and Austria, with Starovic expressing gratitude to Austria for its consistent and continuous support for the European integration of Serbia and the Western Balkans region," it also said.
