BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received Italian PM and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini in Belgrade on Monday to discuss further advancement of bilateral cooperation in road, railway and water transport, connectivity and implementation of joint projects.
Vucic noted that the meeting with Salvini had been good and substantial and that experience-sharing and advancement of cooperation in development of modern transport systems was especially important to Serbia because investment in roads and railways brought new investment, encouraged economic growth and created better living conditions for the citizens.
"I am confident that we will continue to develop the Serbia-Italy partnership and that, through joint projects, we will contribute to even better ties between our economies and to further development to the benefit of the citizens of Serbia and Italy," Vucic posted on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.
Salvini is on a two-day official visit to Belgrade, which ends on July 7.
