BELGRADE - Serbian PM Djuro Macut on Wednesday hosted lunch for ambassadors of countries that do not recognise the so-called "Kosovo".

Macut thanked each ambassador for the joint struggle to preserve Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and for respecting international law.

"Our joint struggle to preserve territorial integrity and sovereignty is at the same time a struggle to preserve the foundations of the UN Charter and international law," Macut said.

"The situation in Kosovo-Metohija is very serious and the daily attacks on Serbs, including unlawful deprivation of liberty and denial of all basic human rights, clearly indicate that the goal of the Kurti regime is to expel the remaining non-Albanian population from the province by creating and maintaining unbearable living conditions," a government statement quoted Macut as saying.

"For more than 13 years, Serbs have been waiting for the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities as a mechanism for the protection of their individual and collective rights," Macut noted.

"Stressing that this is binding and part of the Brussels Agreement, he called on all friends of Serbia to continue to put pressure on Pristina to fulfil its obligations," the statement said.

"Belgrade remains committed to the dialogue process, but will never give up on its southern province," Macut said.

"The Republic of Serbia remains your friend and you can count on our help in every area in which you need it," Macut told the ambassadors and charges d’affaires of Morocco, Brazil, Algeria, Cambodia, Iran, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Argentina, Myanmar, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Venezuela, Tunisia, Palestine, Cuba, the Russian Federation, Iraq, China, Kazakhstan, Ghana, Belarus and the Holy See, the statement also said.
